The Master Builder: Using AI to Modularize High-Interest, Personalized Lessons
A hands-on workshop where educators anchor lessons to standards, then use any AI tool to personalize them through students' interests, leaving with a ready-to-use lesson.
Expertise, experience, and excitement for learner-centered systems serving students at both ends of the bell curve.
About
For more than 20 years, I've worked where school leadership, institutional quality, and student support meet. I've served as Chief Academic Officer and Administrator for virtual academies, leading academic strategy and operational compliance, and my roots in school counseling and work with at-risk and alternative student populations shape everything I do.
I've also built pathways for students ready to move faster, through early middle college, dual enrollment, AP and CLEP options, and self-paced learning that lets students accelerate.
I'm trained in Adaptive Schools and Cognitive Coaching, and I love helping systems build collaborative cultures centered on continuous improvement. Today I lead policy frameworks and global accreditation work for an innovative online school, keeping new learning models anchored in rigorous standards.
Through Moving Education Forward, I partner with districts to build learner-centered systems grounded in standards-, mastery-, and competency-based learning. Together, we meet students at both ends of the bell curve where they are and move them forward.
How I can help
Keynotes and conference sessions on learner-centered education and serving students at both ends of the bell curve.
Focused sessions for teachers and leaders on standards-, mastery-, and competency-based learning and assessment, for in-person, hybrid, or virtual environments.
A long-term collaboration that begins with evaluating your system, builds solutions alongside your people, and coaches your leaders toward a framework for continuous growth.
